Daughter's been here with Jonathan for a few days, we've been playing games all day, watching movies all night. I'm gonna hate to see her leave...what a clean-up in store for me, hahaha. New Year's around the corner so I'm headed that way with recipes, well, a few of them at least. Today I've combined Guy Fieri's recipe with My4BabiesScraps' Pandas and Pagodas to bring you Chinese Cheesecake. Not a true cheesecake as we know it, but good none-the-less.
And if you're looking to celebrate with a more traditional dish check out Ham Steak and Hoppin John under both ham and beans. After the lavish tables set for the New Year's Eve celebration this simple meal is served in the superstitious belief that black-eye peas bring luck, wealth and peace. I'd like to believe that myself.
Don't forget to skip on over to Brandee's site. I peeked in this morning and will browse this afternoon. She had a few interesting recipes I want to try out.
